My hip implant wasnt metal on metal! CUP was ceramic! I had that done in 2012. I had many problems. The DR wouldnt hear me. It took till 2014 to find another DR who was willing to try redo my hip ! So I had revision surgery 2014. Now I got a rod down my femur almost to my knee. BUT he didnt replace the ball and ceramic cup. I still have popping when I walk. And pain down my whole thigh! And knee AND ankle! With pitting edema! Toes to knee. Guess ill be living wiith this.
Share ALL your impairments, with a few additional symptoms. I was silenced, and disallowed from preventing my truth and facts, That the head was way too big for my small body type, That the request for no Bone cement was greed to, BUT went ahead regardless, Multiple nerve damage, muscle shringage and like yourself the rod in my right leg, restricts mobility, and can be felt with every move I make. Also with intermittent edema. and ankle that rolls over, with as leg was shortened, in surgeons efforts to ‘seat the cup’ that was way too big for small frame. At one stage leg was to be amputated (NO WAY) and spend much of my early daytime massaging right leg, to get the blood flow moving. All this accompanied by infections
that have not dissipaated in nearly 11 years. Life changing in one and half hour surgery, in a proceedure that did NOT need doing at the time, (prooved) and from a dancer to a disabled person within hours. Cannot even swim. A diabolical disaster where facts that had been proved were disallowed to be presented and never will be, and YES you will be ‘living with it, for the rest of your life. Can only endorse your comments. Its not worth devoting your life for justice, as its not going to be forthcoming. Thoughts are with you, and s many share your suffering in differing ways.
