I suspect there is a lot wrong in many of the “mega orthopaedics manufacturers”.

Most top management in these companies wouldn’t recognize a customer if it bit them on the ass!

Or perhaps I should have said on the … hip … knee… shoulder …

Terrible story. Just wanted to let you know that there is a lot going wrong at zimmer. The salrs reps all have black boxes/ gps tracking devices in there cars. So management can follow and control them. There is am absolute lack of commitment and trust within the zimmer company. Its like the titanic. How many patients will suffer ?

Thanks for your words, You may all ready have thoght of this but if you haven’t: Divert any anger you may have towards the medical device world (as I refer to it), add up the time you spend thinking,talking whatever regarding the devastation you are experiencing; and apply that time and energy, reading and learning about the medical device hip world. The products,materials,problems, your condition, whats going on in the court system etc you will feel better and stronger.

The more information I gain, the better prepared I, you, others will be when our day in court comes.
No more than your attorney regarding above. You will be a great help, attorneys know law (medical device) the waters are being tested for the first time, I know of, in our
Court System. There have been settlements outside of court, but not from beginning to the end, and a decision made by a Court. Hope this helps

YES-What is most missed-IS the romping with the grand-children-sharing their activities-Sharing in my children’s life’s-and their trial and tribulations,pleasures and activity.
Definitely entering into my Erin Brocovich stage of life-and yes will be (as always have) channeling my energies into the ASSAULT ON MANKIND from the BIG PHARMACUETICAL COMPANIES-hoping that my humble voice can add to ALL others-Thoughts are with those that are currently having to undergo Hip Revision-and the mammoth surgery that appears to be. Jill, you are not the Lone Ranger. First and foremost you get well and strong. Take all your frustrations, anger, depression and close your eye’s for a moment. When you open your eye’s put all of what I mentioned above and turn it into a big positve ball of energy. Use this new positiveness and get well, and direct your mind into being instumental in help making the approval sytem prevent approving devices without real, accurate, results and proper testing, and use your proper energy toward the manufacturer compensating you accordingly. The precious quality of life you were accustomed too is no longer, making a new one is going to be the biggest obstacle of life you have faced. But your words indicate you are strong enough to over come this obstacle, and you will. I wish I had more answers that will help you overcome this detour in life.
I tell people when asked how do I have such patients, such a positive out look on life, I respond by telling them a light switch of life was turned off, when I open my eyes, I look down a dark hall way, looking for the light again,my will to live is too great for me to be angry or just vegitate. I read for hours about the laws,involving medical devices, the manufacturer responsible for my misfortune. I am trying to be acknowledged by the powers to be, so I can be instrumental in making changes so that my grand children or yours or any human won’t suffer as you have.
I have no hip and live in a wheelchair, after 9+ months in the hospital, and 12+ operations. So I do understand, you were a great dancer, now take that same train of thinking and feeling and use it to follow my suggestions. I pray that you will feel better after reading my comments.
